Is It St. Patrick's Day Yet? Part III

Tuesday March 17, 2009

Welcome to the final installment (I promise) of this blog trilogy. The wait is over, St. Patty's Day is finally here.

Truth is, by the time you read this, many people around the city already will be several hours into their celebrations. Looney's Pub in Canton opened its doors at 6 a.m. today, and across town, Mother's in Federal Hill did the same two hours later. Both are offering Irish breakfast and beer specials. Baltimore has a host of great Irish bars and restaurants spread throughout the city, so at some point today, visit one and grab yourself some hot corned beef, cabbage, and a pint to wash it down.

For those to whom the holiday is more than just an excuse to drink (who needs an excuse?), check out the Celtic Women of Hope tonight at the Hippodrome.
