Museums Ready to Play Ball

Thursday April 2, 2009

Sports Legends at Camden Yards and Geppi's Entertainment Museum, both major attractions in the shadow of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, are gearing up for the baseball season.

Starting yesterday and continuing through the end of the Orioles' season, Sports Legends will extend its hours, staying open until 5:00 p.m. daily, and 7:00 p.m. on home game days.

"We wanted to allow fans ample opportunity to visit our extensive Orioles' gallery in Sports Legends Museum before they head to Camden Yards," said Mike Gibbons, the museum's executive director.

Geppi's Entertainment Museum also is housed in Camden Station, and during all Orioles and Ravens home games in 2009, it will offer admission for just $1.

Not a bad deal, and something to think about next time you're heading to the Yard for a game.
