Maryland's Place in Space
The final frontier comes to the convention center on Saturday.
"Maryland's Place in Space" is a free all-day event celebrating our state's contributions to the country's space program. Sponsored by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory, the event will have more than 100 hands-on science activities and demonstrations for space fans of all ages.
NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold, born and raised in Maryland, will be among those in attendance, joining Maryland Public Television's Sid the Science Kid. This out-of-this-world good time starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
