More Jazz

Yesterday's blog entry on Thursday night jazz prompted an email from the folks at Micho's Stage 35, a new jazz club in Reisterstown.

I haven't been there (Before this morning, I wasn't even aware of its existence), but it seems like it has definite potential. On Sunday they're featuring guitar master Steve Rochinski. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, show starts at 8 p.m.

This really caught my eye. On Sunday, October 11, the club is hosting a birthday tribute to the legendary Thelonius Monk.  Jeff Antoniuk & the Jazz Update will perform numbers from Monk's repertoire beginning at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. I love Monk's music, and I urge anyone who isn't familiar with it to check it out.
