A tip of the hat to the University of Maryland Baltimore County chess team, which over the weekend won the college national chess championship in Texas.
The Retrievers out-witted three Texas teams (barbecue and football in Texas, yes. But chess? Who knew?) in Brownsville, Texas, to take its second-straight title, its sixth in the last 10 years.
That's dynasty material, as far as I'm concerned. Way to go UMBC.
