Seems like we're all "Friends of Bill."
The former president is coming to Baltimore on Thursday, Oct. 21 for a rally for Gov. Martin O'Malley, who's locked in a tough re-election campaign against the man he defeated to win the office, former Gov. Robert Ehrlich. (Can't one of these guys find another job?)
O'Malley supporters received the following email today:
"Dear [MY VERY CLOSE AND DEAR FRIEND'S ACTUAL FIRST NAME],
I'll be coming to Baltimore on October 21st for a rally with my good
friend Martin O'Malley.
And while I'm there I'd also like to meet you!
Please fill out the form on this page to win a chance to meet me in Baltimore.
I hope to see you there.
Your friend,
Bill Clinton
Right now, if you contribute $35 to the O'Malley campaign you'll be automatically entered into the contest to meet Bill Clinton in Baltimore. Contribute $70 and you will be entered twice."
No word yet where or when the rally is to be held, but when I find out, I'll let you know. Maybe I'll email my good buddy Billy C. to get the scoop.

The question “Can’t one of these guys find another job?” was answered when, despite being a great governor, Ehrlich lost the last election. He made a great deal of money (no portrayed by O’Malley as an evil thing to do) in his profession of law. He now runs again because he feels this is not just a “job” but a position in which he can make a difference. It is clear to many of us that he will do much better than O’Malley, who took us from surplus to deficit and gave us a regressive 20% sales tax increase to boot. O’Malley won on the coat tails of the Obama “change” bandwagon. Hopefully smart voters will reverse that in a few weeks.
