As if the view weren't enough, there's food and drink too! Chesapeake Wine Co. in Canton donates a diverse selection of vintages for Wine Tasting at Sunset, an annual fundraiser for Friends of Patterson Park.

The event is set up around a restored 19th-century, marble fountain but only steps from the Pagoda, a fanciful Victorian observatory that was renovated in 2002 with the help of the Friends of Patterson Park. Knowledgeable folks from Chesapeake Wine pour, giving information and recommendations about the wines. Local restaurants supply the food. Ticket sales and proceeds of a silent auction benefit the Friends of Patterson Park.
