Built in 1828, the Phoenix Shot Tower manufactured ammunition by pouring molten lead through colanders down its open shaft. However, new techniques for shot production made it obsolete in 1892. Today the Jonestown landmark is open April 1 to Oct. 31.

Hours: Wed. - Sun., noon – 4 p.m. or by appointment
Admission: $1
