Power Plant Live! Entertainment District in Baltimore

Just two blocks north of the Inner Harbor at Market Place and Water St. sits Power Plant Live!, a collection of bars, clubs, restaurants, and even arts attractions.

While some of the restaurants are open for lunch, as is Port Discovery, the children's museum, after dark Power Plant Live! turns into a night-spot populated generally by the 21-30 year old crowd.

Angels Rock Bar is a dance club minus the club music. It's all rock 'n' roll here. Most of it is from a DJ, but there are live performances occasionally. There's plenty of hard alcohol to go with that hard rock. Its menu offers a good selection of high end vodka, gin and other spirits by the bottle.

A children’s museum in the middle of a nightlife complex may seem a bit odd, but the location of Baltimore's Port Dicovery in the Power Plant Live! plaza makes a daytime visit to this complex of restaurants a worthwhile family pastime.

Designed for kids ages 2 to 10, Port Discovery is a place where children can kindle their creativity while expending large amounts of energy. The average visit is 2 to 3 hours, though families with stamina could stay all day.
