BSO Holiday Spectacular

December 14-16, 19-23
The BSO Holiday Spectacular returns in 2007 with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, host Mike Eldred, a sensational cast of singers and dancers, and of course, the Tap-Dancing Santas.

B&O Holiday Festival of Trains

AVENUE Q at the Hippodrome Theatre

December 11-23, Tuesday - Sunday, times vary
AVENUE Q, Broadway's 2004 Tony winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, is a hilarious show about trying to make it in New York with big dreams and a tiny bank account. Called "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see" by Entertainment Weekly, AVENUE Q features a cast of people and puppets. And though the puppet may make AVENUE Q seem like it's for kids, adult themes pervade the show.

Harborplace's Yuletide Caroling and Merry Tuba Christmas

All month long choral groups from all over Maryland serenade shoppers inside The Gallery (across Pratt Street from the Pratt Street Pavilion). See schedule.

Merry Tuba Christmas
December 15, 3 p.m.
Hundreds of tuba and euphonium players, many of whom travel near and far from local communities including surrounding states such as Pennsylvania and Delaware, fill the Harborplace Amphitheater to perform holiday music. Participants also include members of Baltimore’s Marching Ravens.

Kwanzaa Celebration at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum

Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday beginning December 26 and lasting seven days. The Reginald F. Lewis Museum celebrateS the 4th and 5th days of Kwanzaa "Ujamaa” and “Nia," which mean "cooperative economics" and "purpose," with performances, films, art activities and educational sessions.

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Sunday, December 30, 1 p.m.
The Ravens take on the Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore for the last game of the regular season.

Hampden's Miracle on 34th Street

Through January 1
One block in Hampden puts on a Christmas light display that is surely visible from space. Neighbors in this block of rowhouses string Christmas lights across 34th Street. Inflatable snowglobes, musical trains and blinking angels adorn homes. A few even allow visitors to peek inside.

Baltimore's New Year's Eve

December 31
Bring in 2008 with a bang. Whether it's watching the New Year's Eve fireworks over the Inner Harbor or dinner and dancing until dawn, Baltimore has a lot to offer.

Army Navy Football Game

December 1, noon
M&T Bank Stadium
Army and Navy square off for this annual match up. Visiting ships, military displays and free tours of Blackhawk helicopter in the Inner Harbor are part of the weekend-long festivities, starting Nov. 29.
