Baltimore's ethnic festivals are among the city's most unique treats. The food, drink, dance and people of many different cultures are represented for all to enjoy.

African American Heritage Festival
June, M&T Bank Stadium

The African American Heritage Festival in Baltimore is a celebration of the history, culture, heritage and arts of African Americans. The festival embraces rich traditions and is committed to providing cultural experiences from the African Diaspora. Held over three days in June, the festival attracts roughly a half-million people to M&T Bank Stadium near Camden Yards in Baltimore, where it's held.

Caribbean Carnival Festival
July, Druid Hill Park

The annual Caribbean Carnival Festival at Druid Hill Park is a celebration of the islands, complete with food, drink, music and dance. Sponsored by the Caribbean American Carnival Association of Baltimore, the festival offers three days of festivities with arts and crafts, costumed dancers, authentic Caribbean cuisine and live music including calypso, soca and reggae bands.

FestAfrica
August, Patterson Park

Africa takes center stage at the annual FestAfrica in Baltimore. Patterson Park hosts this festival of music, food, art, and culture from the magnificent continent of Africa.

Greek Folk Festival
June, Greektown

Gyros for all! Baltimore's Greek Folk Festival is a four-day celebration of all things Hellenic. Held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Baltimore's Greektown, the Greek Folks Festival features a bevy of traditional food, music, dancing, and crafts.

Korean Festival
September, War Memorial Plaza downtown

The Korean Festival in Baltimore is the city's time to celebrate the people and culture of the Korean Peninsula. This one-day extravaganza features food, music, arts and crafts that impart on visitors a sense of the rich culture halfway around the world.

LatinoFest
June, Patterson Park

The annual LatinoFest in Baltimore is wonderful celebration of Latino music, food and culture. For two days at Patterson Park, Latino spirit fills the air for people of all ethnic backgrounds to enjoy. The event is sponsored by Education Based Latino Outreach.

Polish Festival
June, Patterson Park

All things Polish take front and center stage the last weekend in May during the annual Polish Festival at Patterson Park in Baltimore. The 2009 festival features food, drink, music, dancing, and crafts from the venerable Eastern European country. Three stages and vendors surround the park's monument to General Pulaski, Polish hero of the American Revolution.

Russian Festival
October, Fells Point

The Russian Festival in Baltimore is one of the city's longest-running ethnic festivals. Organized by Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, it features food, music, and crafts from Russia.

Ukrainian Festival
September, Patterson Park

The Ukrainian Festival in Baltimore is a two-day celebration of Ukrainian culture and heritage. Fun for people of all ethnic backgrounds, the annual festival at Patterson Park features music, food, drink, and art from the Ukraine. The Baltimore Ukrainian Festival Committee is the non-profit tax-exempt group that has run the festival since September 1976. Among the festival's highlights each year is of course, the world famous (or at least city famous) pierogi eating contest.
