June 5-6, 2010

From , former About.com Guide

The Charles Village Festival is held on the first weekend of June in one of Baltimore's oldest and most culturally vibrant neighborhoods. In addition to the usual festival array of music, food, and drink on tap, the festival is known for its garden walk, and this year there's a block party on Friday the 4th. All in all it adds up to one special weekend in Charles Village.

The event benefits the Charles Village Community Foundation

Charles Villagers are famous for their exquisite gardens, which draw over 200-250 paid annually visitors each year during the Garden Walk. This year, the community is expanding Garden Walk so that even more visitors can experience the tranquility of these urban oases and learn from master gardener’s tips they can use when planting their own gardens. Featured this year will be the gardens in the north end of the village (north of 29th Street).

A plant sale will be held at Barclay School where there will also be Master Gardeners to answer plant questions. The Barclay School is on the Garden Walk. Also, the Barclay Garden Club Kids will be handing out lemonade.
