Father's Day sometimes gets the short end of the stick compared to Mother's Day. No more! Baltimore dads deserve their day, so here are some suggestions for what to do with - and what to get - dad on Sunday, June 20.

  • Father's Day Festival - Federal Hill Park is the spot for the this inaugural festival of food, entertainment, and activities for the family. From noon to 6 p.m., this free festival also features a children's village, cooking stage, health and fitness tent, restaurant alley and international marketplace.
  • Take in a movie - with a beer
    Escape the heat in the air conditioned splendor of Landmark's Harbor East theaters. One of the best things about this great spot is its full bar, meaning day can enjoy the movie while sipping an ice cold beer.
  • Cook dad dinner
    Start the morning with a trip to the downtown Farmers' Market, where you can pick up all the fresh ingredients to make pops his favorite meal. Get there early - many of the merchants sell out by 11 a.m.
  • Father's Day dinner and lunch cruises
