Baltimore hits its summer stride with a multitude of great festivals and happenings. I present to you, your June 2009 Baltimore Calendar of Events.

|| Free Family Fun Night ||
June 6, 2009, 7:00 p.m.

The Y of Central Maryland hosts an evening that includes fitness classes, use of the gym and pool, and variety of games. Druid Hill Family Center Y, 1609 Druid Hill Ave. and Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y, 900 E. 33rd St.

|| Charles Village Festival ||
June 6 and 7, 2009, 11:00 a.m.

Charles and 29th streets are the place to be for this annual summer festival, which features live music, beer, wine and food, and a plethora of activities for the kids. There's also a garden walk, tickets to which are $10. Admission to the festival is free.

|| Spring Awakening ||
June 9-21, 2009

The Tony Award-winning play is a musical fusion of morality, sexuality, and rock and roll. It's playing at the Hippodrome.

|| Fleetwood Mac ||
June 10, 2009

The legendary rock group's 2009 tour stops at 1st Mariner Arena. Tickets start at $47.50 online.

|| Greek Folk Life Festival ||
June 11-14, 2009

Held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Greektown, 520 S. Ponca St. Baltimore's Greek community shows off for four days with dancing, costumes, cooking demonstrations, food (including dishes such as patstitsio, spanakopita and andsouvlaki) and tours of St. Nicholas. Special guest this year: American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis will perform a free concert on June 11 at 7:00 p.m.

|| Great Grapes! Wine, Art, and Food Festival ||
June 13 and 14, 2009, 12:00-6:00 p.m.

The name says it all: Wine, art, and food. What's not to like? Beautiful Oregon Ridge State Park in Cockeysville is the setting for this 7th-annual festival. A dozen wineries and 150 wines will be on tap. Tickets are $18 in advance online, or $22 at the door, and include a souvenir wine glass, unlimited samples, all performances and cooking demonstrations. Kids 12 and under are free.

|| Honfest ||
June 13 and 14, 2009

Baltimore kitch at its finest, Honfest is a celebration of all things Bawlmer - especially big hair. Since its beginning in 1994, this festival has exploded in popularity, and now includes the Miss Hon contest, along with the requisite food, drink, and live music. W. 36th St. in Hampden is the epicenter of all things Hon.

|| St. Anthony Italian Festival ||
June 13 and 14, 2009, 12:00-8:00 p.m.

Little Italy is the setting, appropriately enough, for this festival celebrating wine and food from the old country.

|| Baltimore Pride ||
June 20 and 21, 2009

Sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center of Baltimore and Central Maryland, the Baltimore Gay Pride Celebration is two days of many events that take place in different parts of the city, including Mt. || LatinoFest ||
June 27 and 28, 2009, 12:00 p.m.

Arts, culture, food, and music from Baltimore's burgeoning Latino population is on display at Patterson Park. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 12 and under.

|| Federal Hill Jazz and Blues Festival ||

June 28, 2009, 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Two stages, 12 bands, and one cost: free. Cross Street is the setting for this annual festival.
