Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Charles St. (Mount Vernon
Cost: Free
On Valentine's Day, the Walters Art Museum will host a special night centering on all things love-related. Expect music, performances, and cocktails-plus, of course, art. Admission is free, and food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Sex at the Zoo
Thursday, February 14, 6-9 p.m.
Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, 1876 Mansion House Dr. (Druid Hill Park)
Cost: $80 per person or $130 per couple
At this adults-only event, couples can enjoy a wildly romantic night. Guests can enjoy an open bar and hors d'oeuvres while animal experts, veterinarians, and zookeepers go over bizarre courtship rituals of the animal kingdom. The event takes place at the Mansion House and is for people 21 and over only. Cocktail attire is suggested, and tickets must be purchased in advance.

Valentine's Day Dinner Cruise

Take in the sights of Baltimore with the one you love! Spirit Cruises, one of several boat tours in Baltimore, is offering a special Valentine's Day dinner plus lunch and dinner cruises throughout the weekend. Packages include meals and champagne toasts, as well as dancing and in some instances roses. Upgrades include guaranteed window seats, a bottle of champagne, and half-a-dozen roses.

Date Night at the National Aquarium

Cost: $95 for member couples or $135 for non-member couples
Take your date for a stroll around National Aquarium after hours at this special Valentine's Day event that includes drinks and a buffet. Visitors must be 21 or older.

Tassels and Champagne

Cost: $15 members, $20 non-members
Tilted Torch, a DC-based variety show, will wow crowds at the Creative Alliance with burlesque, fire dancing, and belly dancing. Live music from the Christylez Bacon Ensemble will set the mood, and the bar will be open until midnight. Add a bottle of champagne to your tickets for $60, or couple some chocolate and other goodies at a table for two for $100. Besides Valentine's Day night, two additional shows will take place on Friday.

Romantic Adventure at Terrapin Adventures

Adventurous couples looking for something to do over Valentine's Day weekend can try Terrapin Adventure's challenge course and zip lines. Couples can enjoy hot chocolate and other sweets, and also enter to win prizes from nearby Savage Mill Merchants. An optional add on includes dinner at Rams Head Tavern after you've worked up an appetite.
