1. Monster Jam

Baltimore Arena: 201 W Baltimore St. 
Admission: $20 and up (children $10 and up)
Monster trucks will takeover Baltimore Arena to show of their racing and freestyle skills.

 

2. SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D: The Great Jelly Rescue

National Aquarium, Baltimore
Saturday, March 1 through Thursday, November 13
Follow SpongeBob SquarePants and his underwater friends on a 4-D adventure in Bikini Bottom. Viewers will surf through an electrifying swarm of jellies, get dragged into the bowels of the Flying Dutchman's ghost ship, and feel the rumble of the cannon. The film is $5 with the purchase of an admission ticket to the aquarium.

3. Maryland Home & Garden Show

Saturday, March 1 through Sunday, March 2
Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9
Maryland State Fairgrounds: 2200 York Rd., Lutherville-Timonium
Admission: $12 adults, $10 seniors, $3 children 6–12, children under six free
More than 300 exhibitors will bring Baltimore the latest and greatest in home improvement during these two weekends in March. National experts and design professionals will offer advice during seminars and presentations. 

4. Fat Tuesday Cooking Challenge

Sunday, March 2, 2-5 p.m.
Fells Point
Tickets: $20
Twelve local restaurants and pubs will come together at Woody's Rum Bar & Island Grill to compete in the Fat Tuesday Cooking Challenge. A $20 ticket gives you a tasting and two drink tickets.

5. Publications and Multiples Fair

Saturday, March 8-Sunday, March 9, noon-6 p.m. 
D Center: 16 West North Ave
Open Space, a local art gallery, has put on this fair for five years. More than 80 independent publishers, galleries, and artists will display and sell their 
artist publications, prints, and objects produced in multiple.
 

6. Women's History Month Celebration

Friday, March 7, 5-9 p.m.
National Aquarium, Baltimore
Admission: $12 (after 5 p.m.)
The National Aquarium continues their cultural series with a nightlong celebration that includes performances, exhibits, and activities focused on women's history. There will be dancing, live jazz, a trivia game, and a cash bar for those who are 21 and over.

7. 2014 CAA Men's Basketball Championship

Friday, March 7-Sunday, March 10
Baltimore Arena: 201 W Baltimore St.
The road to March Madness starts in Baltimore with the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Basketball Championship. Eight teams will compete over four days at this win-or-go-home event. The champion will represent the CAA as its automatic qualifier to the NCAA.

8. Baltimore Blast Playoff Game

Admission: $16 and up

Baltimore Blast, the city's Major Indoor Soccer League team, has clinched a playoff spot. The team improved to 11-3 overall this year and won seven consecutive games.

9. Heavy Seas Real Ale and BBQ Festival

Heavy Seas: 4615 Hollins Ferry Rd., Suite B, Halethorpe
Admission: SOLD OUT
Heavy Seas will be pouring their award-winning beer and dishing out food from more than six restaurants. Attendees must be 21 or over.

10. St. Patrick's Day

Monday, March 17
St. Patrick's Day falls on a Monday this year, meaning most of the Irish-themed activities are taking place over the previous weekend. Whether your heritage goes back to the Emerald Isle or not, here's to hoping the luck of the Irish is with you.
