2. Liquid Earth

Since the fall of 1996, the owners of Liquid Earth have been serving fresh juices and smoothies, healthy food, and vegan desserts. All of the juices served at this Fells Point restaurant are created using raw foods -- that is, nothing from a bottle, box, or can. The food is made with a similar mentality, using as few processes as possible. Dining is available inside and in the restaurant's courtyard (when weather permits).
3. Johnny Rad’s

Vegans at this skater-themed bar and pizza joint on the outer edge of Fells Point will enjoy ordering up a pizza with soy cheese. The fried edamame is another excellent choice for those on meat-free diets, and the bar has a great selection of local and microbrew beers on tap.

This gourmet soup company in Mount Vernon creates a handful of soups every day, always making sure there are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Although the selection changes daily, meat-free options have included thai sweet potato or curry cauliflower soup. The restaurant also serves vegetarian and vegan sandwiches and salads.

This collectively owned bookstore and coffeehouse in Mount Vernon has a menu featuring vegetarian sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods -- almost all of which can be made vegan by request. Menu options include paninis, soups, salads, bagels, and granola.
6. Golden West Café

The eclectically decorated Golden West Café in Hampden has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, including generously portioned burritos and burgers. There is also almost always a vegan dessert ready for order, and with menu items like vegan biscuits and crazy, this is a great weekend brunch spot for those on meat-free diets.

There are lots of vegetarian options at Little Havana, a bar and restaurant on the southern side of the Inner Harbor (near the Baltimore Museum of Industry). This is also a great spot for outdoor seating when the weather is mild.

Although Brick Oven Pizza (also known as BOP) serves meat, the made-to-order restaurant has plenty of options for vegetarians and offers soy cheese so vegans can indulge.

This family owned soul food restaurant serves completely vegan fare, including baked goods. Soy-based curry chicken and BBQ ribs are served along sides such as sesame spinach, candied yams, and macaroni and cheese (made with soy cheese, of course).
