Baltimore City makes use of its share of Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement paid to the State of Maryland by offering its residents free smoking cessation courses. These year-round classes are limited to 10 participants. Nicotine patches are provided to some participants based doctor's recommendation. To join a class call 410-396-1438.
From Maryland's Department of Health and Hygiene, this telephone counseling is designed to help you make a plan for stopping smoking and stick to it. And if you think you'll need a little more help than that, its
events calendar has a directory of support groups and classes.

The "Free Yourself Stop Smoking & Prevention Program" focuses on dealing with withdraw, stress management and relapse planning. Get 10 people to sign up, and they'll bring the program to you.
