Baltimore Ghost Tours
Tours offered March through November, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m.
Costumed guides lead tours through two of Baltimore's most storied neighborhoods: the maritime village of Fells Point and Mount Vernon, Baltimore's "spirited" cultural center. There is also the option to do a Fells Point Haunted Pubwalk, which takes patrons through the doors of some of the neighborhood's haunted taverns. Mount Vernon tours are only offered in October.
"Ye Haunted History of Olde Ellicott City" Ghost Tour
April through November, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Take a guided tour of the Historic District of Ellicott City, a town that might be one of the most actively haunted places in America. There is so much paranormal activity that guides had to make two separate tours, each of which lasts more than an hour. Tours are given on Friday and Saturday nights; it's not necessary to take one tour after the other, each is an independent tour with different stories about various locations. Tickets are $13, with discounts for seniors, active military personnel, and children 12 and under.
Annapolis Ghost Tours
Walking tours offered year-round, Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 7 and 9 p.m.
Pub walks offered year=round, Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m.
Local ghost expert and author Mike Carter is behind Annapolis Ghost Tours, a company that has been leading spooky explorations of haunted places in Maryland's capital since 2003. Learn about Annapolis' most famous past residents during a 90-minute walking tour of the city or on a haunted pub crawl. This ghost tour is geared toward adults, but suitable for children. New in 2012, a cemetery tour led by storytellers in period attire is also being offered. Tickets are $18 for the walking tour and $20 for the pub crawl.
Candlelight Ghost Tours of Frederick
Tours offered April through December, most Fridays and Saturdays at various times (check website). Private tours available at other times.
The proprietors of this company claim that Frederick is the most haunted city in Maryland, and they are more than happy to show you some of these supposedly haunted sites. The tours are based on factual events, meaning you'll also get a history lesson on the Revolutionary War and Civil War, plus some spooky stories about executions, murders, suicides, witchcraft, and more. Tours, which last 1.5 hours, are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 7-12.
