By Laureen Miles Brunelli, About.com Guide to Baltimore
Baltimore loves its neighborhoods. Whether in a quiet suburb or a bustling urban enclave, generation after generation often call the same turf home. But new residents are bringing energy and change to Baltimore's neighborhoods and towns. Find out what's new in your area.
City Neighborhoods
From fancy Mount Vernon to funky Fells Point, every neighborhood in Baltimore City has its own personality
Baltimore County

Baltimore County, a large suburban area that wraps around the city in all directions except due south, is larger than the city by more than 150,000 people. Community settings range from rural to urban. These links will bring you to more resources for each town.
Harford County

To the north and east of Baltimore County, this suburban county along the Chesapeake Bay is home to Aberdeen Proving Ground. The military facility, which takes up most of the waterfront land in the county, will soon bring more jobs to Harford County and Maryland as it expands due to the BRAC.
