Transportation
While the Maryland Mass Transit Administration provides some of the public transportation in Harford County (including Marc trains, commuter buses and the light rail), Harford County has its own local bus lines in Harford Transit.More transportation resources:
Public Safety Agencies
- >Sheriff's Office - Unlike in Baltimore County, the Harford County sheriff's office enforces the laws in its role as the county's police department, but also serves as the court-ordered summons.
- Fire Protection - Harford County does not have a professional fire department, but relies on its 11 volunteer fire and ambulance companies. The county does have paid dispatchers who route emergency calls.
