John Harbaugh took over as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens prior to the 2008 season. His rookie campaign was stunningly successful, as he lead the Ravens to an 11-5 record and a berth in the AFC Championship game.
Harbaugh was hired at the tender young age of 34. He came to Baltimore from Philadelphia, where he was an assistant coach for the Eagles. He is the brother of former Ravens quarterback and current Stanford University head coach Jim Harbaugh, and the brother-in-law of Indiana University head men's basketball coach Tom Crean.
