Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco was selected in the first round of the 2008 draft. He immediately became the starter and never looked back, leading the team to an 11-5 record and a trip to the AFC Championship game.
Flacco, a New Jersey native, started his career at the University of Pittsburgh, but transferred to the University of Delaware. Despite not playing big-time college ball, the Ravens used the 18th pick to snag him.
