Of course, swimmer Michael Phelps is the Olympic superstar in Baltimore, but Maryland has plenty of Olympic contenders for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing including Phelps' fellow swimmer and teammate Katie Hoff. And then Carmelo Anthony of the NBA's Denver Nuggets is from Baltimore too.
