In Harbor East, the rapidly growing neighborhood between the Inner Harbor and Fells Point, this 32-story property is situated right on the water, making it true to its name. Though it's not in the heart of the Inner Harbor, the hotel is walking distance to its attractions, and the Water Taxi stops nearby. The small indoor pool is on an upper floor with a large outdoor patio.

Also since it is on the west side of the harbor, it is only a few blocks to Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. This is a great spot for the active types. Considered Baltimore's best, this luxurious hotel on the west side of the Inner Harbor is the place to be pampered. The beautifully landscaped courtyard and the lobby's grand spiral staircase make a good first impression. But the rooms some of which feature marble baths and canopy beds are a cut above. Amenities include tennis courts, which are uncommon in the Inner Harbor.

A boutique hotel directly on water (unlike most Inner Harbor hotels which usually have a street between them and the harbor), Pier 5 takes style seriously. Vibrant colors and mod furnishings in the lobby make it clear from the start this is not your average chain lodging. Complimentary shuttle takes guests to to Brookshire Suites (which shares its fitness room), Admiral Fell Inn in Fells Point and Johns Hopkins Hospital. No pool. Pets allowed.
