Baby Elephant at Baltimore Zoo Sleeping
See photos of the 290-pound male elephant calf born at 9:07 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2008 at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. The mother, 24-year-old Felix, delivered the calf in the Elephant Barn after a relatively short labor. This is the first baby elephant ever born at the Baltimore Zoo.
